Glan-yr-Afon (Waters Edge) Terms of Letting

For the purpose of the Terms of Letting, Glan-yr-Afon (Waters Edge) shall mean Spencer Macdonald & Associates Ltd and Visitor shall mean the person named in the booking form.

Check In/Out Times

The Cottage is available any time after 4-00 pm on first day of occupation. Guests are kindly requested to vacate the cottage by 10-00am on the last day to allow adequate time for cleaning etc. Change-over day is usually Saturday; other change over days can be arranged, please contact us to discuss.

Deposit

A booking for the property becomes firm when a 30% deposit of the booking and a completed booking form are received by Glan-yr-Afon. Up to that time it is a provisional booking and provisional bookings are held for a maximum of 3 days.

Final Payment

The full balance of the total holiday cost is payable not later than eight weeks before the holiday begins. If the full balance is not paid on time, Glan-yr-Afon reserves the right to cancel the holiday booking, in which case the deposit will be forfeited.

Cancellation

The reservation of a property amounts to making a contract. We advise that you should take out separate holiday cancellation insurance. The deposit is non-refundable and so too is the final payment if cancellation is within 8 weeks. At the sole discretion of Glan-yr-Afon the charge may be waived if we are able to re-let the cancelled cottage.

Visitor Accommodation Limitation

Accommodation is limited to the number of persons for whom the booking is made; the maximum number must not exceed the number stated on the website for Glan-yr-Afon. The client may have supplementary guests staying as visitors but should advise the likelihood of this to glan-yr-Afon in advance and the numbers must not exceed the occupancy limit for the cottage as stipulated on the website.

Animals

We are happy to accommodate one dog free of charge.

Joint bookings

Where two parties join together to take a holiday, the booking should be made in one name only, that person (the visitor) is to be responsible for all payments and any damage.

Personal injury and loss of visitor property

The visitor or members of his/her party cannot hold Glan-yr-Afon responsible for injury sustained or the loss or damage to any belongings during their stay at any one of the properties.

Glan-yr-Afon right of entry

Glan-yr-Afon and or its agents reserve the right to enter any cottage at any reasonable time for any reasonable cause.

Visitor Obligations

The visitor must keep the premises and all the furniture, fixtures and effects in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the booking period (reasonable wear and tear excepted) and shall pay to glan-yr-Afon the value of any part of the premises, furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects so destroyed or damaged as they be incapable of being restored to their previous condition. Breakages and damage should be reported as soon as possible.

Should there be any discrepancy in the service provided within the property this should be intimated immediately to Glan-yr-Afon.

Property Cleanliness

The visitor and members of his/her party are asked to leave the accommodation clean and tidy. Glan-yr-Afon reserve the right to make a charge for extra cleaning if the accommodation is not left in a satisfactory condition.
